The location is extremely convient- barely a few minute's walk to Shin Imamiya station or to the Midosuji line, both of which can get you basically anywhere you need to go with minimum transfers. The staff at the hotel are really nice; in fact, when checking in, the gentleman was actually able to explain the facilities to me in English! I really appreciated this because my Japanese is still not very good. My room was clean, and the facilities were definitely maintained regularly throughout my stay. The lobby has a few vending machines, individual shower rooms that lock from the inside for a decent amount of privacy, and a female-only bathing area, though I chose not to use that one. I was pleasantly surprised that it even has coin laundry, just past the toilets on the first floor! The futon set up was also very comfortable on the tatami mats, and the AC was indeed a god-send in the summer heat. I grew up around train stations, so though I could definitely hear the noise from the station behind us it quickly faded into the background for me, and my floor-mates were extremely considerate of their noise level, so I barely heard a peep! I get the complaints about noise, personally it didn't bother me in the slightest (especially with the double-panes of glass on my window helping to block out outside noise). Maybe invest in some noise-cancelling earphones if other reviews have you worried. I'd also been led to believe by other reviews that there were only bathrooms on the first floor, but at least in Annex 2 there are toilets on every floor, it's just showers that are first floor exclusive. All in all, it had all of the facilities you might be looking for in a cheap stay, plus a few extra, plus a super-convenient location, plus extremely nice and helpful staff!

Loved my time here. The Japanese-style room is perfect for one person, even with a big luggage (might be cramped for 2), and I worked comfortably from there. The fridge was a nice bonus. The facilities are overall good, the lobby is awesome and the working/eating space has sockets and free drinks (like coffee and tea). The Japanese bath was fantastic! You will be in one of the two more popular areas for tourists, and next to two different stops. You can also get to Nara in 30min from here. There's a couple of things I would improve: a door and hot water in the washroom or a sink in the shower room, there's basically no in-between between a full shower and only being able to wash your teeth because washrooms have no door (only for the toilet cubicles) but shower rooms only have the shower inside; a tiny mirror, even a sticker one, in the room.

This is a budget hotel. The room just for you to sleep after travelling & should take your meals in 1F near the lobby. i love the coffee machine there & the drinks is free. Ladies floor is on 2F but unfortunately my room was on the 5F. So got to go to 2F to shower. But each floor has toilets seperated by gender. Just got no chance to enjoy the ladies spa (onsen) on the 1F near the lobby. Have to pay 300yen for bath towel. They gave me a face towel+tooth brush&paste in a plastic packaging and I can choose 1 free item (razor, cream, face mask and such) that they put near the counter. There`s ears plug as well for free. The room is not sound proof.

Although the room was small, everything was very clean. Window opened for “fresh” air but could also be closed with two layers to reduce noise. Shower and toilet facilities always clean. Shampoo bar was very fun! Free coffee/tea/shaved ice was also great to have at all times. Staff very friendly and helpful. Strong wifi! Given a free disposable towel each day. Great price for a private room comparing to other options. Also nice open common area to work, eat relax etc

10/10 - Great experience, my favorite hotel I have stayed in, feels very comforting - lobby Is tidy, friendly atmosphere and has many great amenities such as free coffee, many vending machines, TV, co-working space, comfortable couches. Oh and Wifi is also AMAZING. Tested it and it was on top speeds of 200gb upload/download. The team are very friendly & extremely hardworking, humble people.
